Daniel Trifonov is Head of Treasury and Financial Markets at tbi bank, overseeing four key divisions – Trading & Liquidity, Investment Intermediary, Investment banking and Financial Institutions across the bank’s Bulgarian, Romanian and Greek markets. With over 20 years of leadership experience in major banking institutions, he manages proprietary trading, client sales, liquidity, cash-flow forecasting, and international financial relations. As a key member of the ALCO committee, he helps shape the bank’s asset-liability strategies and balance sheets.

An expert in treasury management, Daniel develops and implements tailored financial products and hedging strategies for clients. His in-depth knowledge of trading, product development, and regulatory frameworks enables him to guide investors across a range of risk profiles – from fixed-income deposits to higher-yield opportunities. He holds a Master’s degree in Accounting and Controlling from UNWE and applies strategic thinking, sharpened through competitive chess, to drive informed and effective decisions at tbi bank.
