Hristofor Hristov is a Bulgarian entrepreneur and CEO of “Solid 55”, a company specializing in the production of smart doors and interior solutions. He was born in 1986 into a family with a strong entrepreneurial spirit. From an early age, he was involved in the family business, founded by his father, Ivan Akov—an engineer and the company’s founder—and his mother, Krasimira Akova, who managed the administrative and financial operations. His childhood was closely connected to the business, as he not only observed but also actively participated in its development from a small family venture into a modern manufacturing company.
He graduated from the American University in Bulgaria, where he was exposed to a dynamic international environment that helped shape his entrepreneurial mindset. After completing his studies in 2009, at the peak of the global financial crisis, he joined the company’s management and faced significant challenges related to restructuring and business survival.
In 2011, at just 25 years old, Hristofor Hristov took over the leadership of “Solid 55”. Under his management, the company has evolved toward innovation, automation, and the development of high-tech security solutions. He has played a key role in advancing smart door technologies, including the implementation of biometric access and intelligent security systems.
Hristofor is also the driving force behind the creation of a conceptually new showroom – the Solid Doors Center, a design hub for doors and interior solutions. His vision was to transform the customer experience from a simple catalog selection into a fully immersive journey. The center showcases a wide range of solutions in real-life settings, combining functionality, security, advanced technology, and design, positioning it as a specialized hub for architecture and interior design.
